The flight from Moorea to Bora Bora was on a tiny plane but it was a short flight and amazing to see the island from up in the air. When we arrived at the airport, we were greeted by the boat driver from our resort. They put leis around our necks and soon we were off on a boat ride to our resort. We were the only ones going to the Four Seasons, so it was like our own private boat tour.
We checked into the resort and were led to our overwater bungalow. Inside, a bottle of champagne and a box of macaroons were awaiting us. Our bungalow was on the outside of the eastern section of bungalows, so the seemingly endless lagoon was all we could see from our deck. After exploring our rooms, we then headed out to check out the rest of the resort.
Wednesday, March 22
Our first full day in paradise! We, of course, spent the morning on the beach. We swam out to a little sandbar in the lagoon and back.
After lunch, we had a blast jumping off the deck of our bungalow into the lagoon.
At night, the sky was insane with the number of stars that could be seen. We even found the Milky Way!
Thursday, March 23
It was a little drizzly in the morning, so we grabbed an open cabana by the pool. We ordered fruity drinks, read books, and relaxed.
After lunch, we grabbed our snorkeling gear and dove into the area of the lagoon that ran behind the beach-front bungalows. It was awesome to see so many fish!
Friday, March 24
After breakfast on Friday, we grabbed a kayak and paddled around the resort for a change of pace. Then, back in our bungalow, we attached our inner tubes to the posts and floated around for awhile.
Saturday, March 25
It was drizzly the morning on our last day. We were so sad to leave, but we were greeted with a beautiful rainbow over the bungalows as a final farewell. We were taken back to the airport by boat, the same way that we had arrived. From there we flew back to Tahiti and then back to LAX.
